When I try to go to the locations, I am not nallowed to get to them. Plus, you could use that to cause in-fighting between the groups by favoring one gang over another (already a mechanic in the game, to be fair) to thin out their numbers as well. However, I seemed to have made the mistake of dismissing Preston whilst in Nuka Town, and he couldn’t leave. Why do I feel like one of the games will be a twisted version of 'The floor is lava'? So when he started hating me, I couldn’t send him back to the Commonwealth, and now he’s stuck outside of Fizztop Lmaoo. Kill all raiders or take over the main non dlc-area.
